Nicola Lister LRAD ARAD ISTAD – Principal of the school
Having received her formal training at The Arts Educational School, Tring Park since the tender age of 8, our accomplished artist pursued her passion for becoming a dance educator by enrolling at The Royal Academy of Dance. Upon completion of her studies, she garnered the esteemed recognition of being awarded the most outstanding student prize.
Nicola subsequently embarked upon her teaching journey, initially providing freelance instruction to children in and around the London vicinity. In 1998, fuelled by her dedication and vision, she established The Barnes Ballet School, an institution that has since flourished and evolved over the years.
The School maintains a close partnership with the esteemed Royal Academy of Dance, renowned worldwide for its internationally recognized syllabus and rigorous standards. Our commitment to excellence is evident as we consistently prepare and enter our students for examinations.
In addition to our Ballet program, we offer dynamic freestyle jazz classes, a spirited and enjoyable avenue for learning dance and staying physically active. We actively promote performance opportunities, fostering our students' confidence, and nurturing their talents through participation in various events such as dance shows, school fairs, and special parents' watching days.
