Nicola Lister LRAD ARAD ISTAD – Principal of the school
Having received her formal training at The Arts Educational School, Tring Park since the age of 8, Miss Lister pursued her passion for becoming a dance teacher by enrolling at The Royal Academy of Dance. Upon completion of the course, she was awarded the most outstanding student prize.
Nicola subsequently embarked upon her teaching journey, initially providing freelance teaching to children in and around the London area. In 1998, she established The Barnes Ballet School, a school that has since flourished and developed over the years.
The School maintains a close partnership with the Royal Academy of Dance, renowned worldwide for its internationally recognized syllabus and high standards. Our commitment to nurturing every child is evident as we consistently prepare and enter our students for examinations and class awards.
In addition to our Ballet program, we offer freestyle jazz classes, a fun and energetic way to learning dance and staying physically active. We actively promote performance opportunities, building our students' confidence, and nurturing their talents through participation in various events such as dance shows, school fairs, and special parents' watching days.
